Zebra were approached by a horticultural company in Pershore that specialises in mail order and television sales of bulbs and plants. The brief was to design a building that helped Hayloft consolidate their operation onto one site, as they were operating on two separate sites at the time, resulting in a number of unnecessary inefficiencies. The building was primarily designed as a dry storage area for packaging, as well as a canteen and shower area for the permanent and seasonal staff. The roof houses a large number of solar panels, which not only helps power the heating in the canteen, as well as the operation of the automatic shading in the greenhouses, both helping to reduce the carbon footprint of the company overall.
Having kept in touch with the client, the building is functioning very well indeed, and the operation of the company is now much more efficient and focused on growth.
